The Li'l Country Store and Miniature Horse Farm

After 17 memorable years, we are announcing our retirement from the Little Country Store and Miniature Horse Farm. Our last regular day open will be October 24, and we will officially step away on October 31.

This decision comes with many emotions. The Little Country Store has been much more than a business to us, and the miniature horse farm has been much more than a place to keep animals. Together, they have allowed us to meet thousands of wonderful people, build lasting friendships, and become part of many families’ special memories.

We are sincerely thankful for every person who has visited us during the past 17 years. Thank you for your purchases, kind words, wonderful reviews, recommendations, and continued support. Most of all, thank you to the many loyal customers who returned again and again. Your friendship and encouragement have meant the world to us.

We will always treasure the memories, conversations, laughter, and stories that have come from our years at the store and farm. While it is bittersweet to bring this chapter to a close, we are extremely excited to begin the next chapter of our lives.

What will happen to the Little Country Store and Miniature Horse Farm?

The Little Country Store business will be offered for sale at public auction on October 31. The goats and miniature horses will also be offered for sale that day, with the hope that each one will go to a good and loving home.

If you have a favorite miniature horse or goat, we encourage you to visit before our final day. Stop by to stock up on your favorite items, spend time with the animals, take a pony ride, and make one more special memory at the farm. You may even decide that one of our sweet miniature horses would be the perfect addition to your own home.

We hope to see many of you between now and October 24. Thank you for making the past 17 years so meaningful. Your support has blessed our family in more ways than we can express, and the memories we have made together will always hold a special place in our hearts

After you've shopped at The Li'l Country Store, stop by our horse farm. Situated just outside of Strasburg, Pennsylvania, our location is home to gentle and friendly horses that love to be petted. We welcome all equine lovers.

Miniature Horse Workshop

For a hands-on experience, where you truly interact with our horses, we offer one-hour, scheduled horse workshops on our family farm for the entire family. 

We offer our workshops Monday through Saturday by appointment only. Go to our farm activities page to schedule. 

Learn new things with our program by signing up for a session today! The price is 40.00 for a group of 4 people or less and 7.00 per person if more than 4 people.

MEET OUR HORSES

When you come to our farm, our miniature horses will be ready to meet you. All of our animals are housed in our barn, which includes 10 stalls with large holes in the door for easy petting and taking pictures. These stalls were crafted by our owner, Henry, so that you can see our horses' little heads peeking out at you.

ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES

Besides petting and getting your picture taken with our horses, you can also ride them. We offer fun saddle and cart rides for children at 7.00 per Child. You do not need to make an appointment to do the rides. Small boys and girls will love this opportunity to ride or travel behind one of our miniature horses.
While in the barn, you can also view Henry and Linda's team of driving horses, as well as their buggy. This is a unique experience for every member of your family. There is no admission fee to tour the horse barn. However, there is a small charge of 7.00 per child for the rides.
